Budapest Fashion & Tech Summit – online metaverse

In addition to Budapest Central European Fashion Week, another important event of the Hungarian Fashion and Design Agency is the Budapest Fashion & Tech Summit fashion industry conference featuring international experts for the fourth time. The event is free and open - Between the 1st and 2nd of December - not only for industry members but everyone who is interested.

The aim of the event is to create a platform for fashion industry professionals to reflect together on the global challenges presented by COVID-19 and on the key issues of the upcoming years, such as the environment, sustainability and innovation. As an integrative organisation, through the event the HFDA will be initiating an international dialogue with the fashion industry institutions of the region, involving renowned international experts. One of the main objectives of the two-day event is to foster a process of joint reflection with neighbouring countries and to enable an effective exchange of information.

This year's edition of the Budapest Fashion & Tech Summit will feature fashion industry players from the V4 countries - as Hungary took over the V4 Presidency from Poland on the 30th of June. The event will therefore pay special attention to the inclusion of neighbouring countries in the programme, with the aim of giving fashion industry players in the region - from designers to large corporations and industry press - the opportunity to introduce themselves and participate in networking thanks to the event's roundtable discussions and presentations. This will also help to increase and strengthen the presence of professionals from the region and V4 countries on the international stage.

Suzy Menkes, British journalist and fashion critic, known as the uncrowned queen of fashion journalism and the most highly esteemed fashion journalist worldwide, will be the keynote speaker at the conference. Among the professional guests we can also greet Gili Biegun, editor-in-chief of Joys magazine, Marco Pecorari, the director of MA Fashion Studies at Parsons Paris, Matthew Drinkwater, head of Innovation Agency at London College of Fashion and others.

What is Decentraland metaverse?

The Agency will appear in the digital world of the metaverse called Decentraland with a virtually created showroom that fans of technological innovation can entirely walk through. You can view the unique pieces displayed in the digital space, and, with just one click, you can buy them on the Budapest Select Concept Store’s page.

The Agency’s webshop offers customers almost 70 different Hungarian fashion, design, and beauty brands. You can access the official event of the Decentraland metaversion by clicking here.
